They don't make OEM hoods like they used to...unfortunately. It would be nice just to add/retrofit the current hood like guys used to be able to do years ago when hoods were basically just a formed flat sheet of steel. Now, with all the framing on the underside to give it rigidity, there just isn't a good way to cut a hole and add something on top.
I agree with a couple of the comments above -- the hood will make or break the project with the majority of possible enthusiasts. "It's gotta look like it's meant to be there" -- perfect comment. |
