Seems higher to me as well. But that may be just an illusion of not having the hood line there.

It’s official! A turnkey supercharger kit that makes 500whp+ out of the box!

I wonder how much visibility you will have of the road in that direction. When I had a PD blower on my 350 it wasn't bad at all but this looks more aggressive.

It never ends... The hate is real... (seriously joking)

Here is a Dyno sheet from last week.
Some things of noteworthiness: 1. Stock engine and 7at trans 2. Transmission is on its way out and has been slipping. 3. This was on a "heart breaker" 5k lb roller dyno 4. Ambient temps were 97* and decent humidity 5. This is a conservative 93oct tune 6. The car has headers and exhaust 7. the torque pickup had some interference and thus the weird spikes |
That's a flatter torque curve then a skinny chick with her bra on backwards.
|
400ft-lbs all the time. That thing is going to be blast to drive :driving:

First of all, great to see a company investing a lot of time and effort in building something unique.
Me personally I'm in the market to upgrade my Z, but without a hood solution that provides me with a look which I like - I probably will rule this kit out. Hope to see something soon! |
Holy f%&k those are some impressive numbers!!

If you want the FI 7AT upgrades. I have spoken with Tony, all it is: Exedy Clutch pack Custom and additional Shim plates (have to get builder to do this) FI Billet Flex plate Trans cooler Trans Ecutek Tune All this you can purchase and get done without needing FI workshop. And if people have not heard, Level10 trans have not been holding, or being built correctly lately. Maybe in the past yes, but currently they are having alot of issues and failures, I know this because several of their customers who have been discussing it in a closed chat group on FB. There are other companies who are building upgrade packages for the 7AT, IPT and and another builder can't remember there name. And my question to RJM: What is in the 7AT upgrade package please? |
I like the "Road Warrior" look with the present hood. Dress it up and make it blingy to match the horsepower. There will be no stealth mode with this beast!

well, i think its official, no hood can cover that, shaker is the only option
|
Really looking forward to the final hood solution to this monster.

Looking forward to CARB EO#:tiphat:

I think you guys need to tuck the intake runners. Looked like there was space if you where willing to start with a bigger piece of aluminum. I think people might be more open to a simple rectangle than a rectangle with a chevron on it.
Should make a "Interceptor" logo to stick on it somewhere too. |
Where is the dyno chart? Is it available yet? :)

I spoke with one of the vendors at the tent on saturday. He said that they are just going to do a cowl where we will have to cut our hoods and install it.

Also, that looks like Jon Parham's 350Z at the very top edge of that last picture. |
Ok to answer a few questions since I was at zdayz giving people rides and absolutely beating on this car! I officially have the most wheel time behind this kit. All I can say is WOW!!!! Its such a different animal especially in the mountains. At any given time I could sling the back end out and hold it there under power. Throttle modulation mid corner was amazing. The ability to power out of turns with 12 psi instantly slammed you into the seat and kept you there!
The car could do rolling 3rd gear burnouts! Ok now on to questions: Hood cowl options are still being worked on and a final design is almost settled on. Once it is decided we will go into protoyping in june - july time frame. The reason for a cowl versus a hood was 1 - cost and 2- options for customers. RJM doesn't make body parts so they are out sourcing the hood cowl to a partner. a cowl costs less to manufacture and thus will cost less for customers. CARB will be underway real soon. Once that is done they will have the EO# for people. The Throttle body tubes are being revised for a lower footprint and to allow the oem air box to hook up to it. Also a smaller foot print out of the hood. The car at Zdayz made 546whp and 410ftlbs and that was detuned as to save the stock transmission and tq convertor from blowing up. A 6mt car would easily made 600+whp on the same setup. |
Just Playing with the car and deciding to do some donuts after pictures. The whole rear end is set up for drag and wanted the car to go straight.

ohhh a pre order list will be opened up later tonight or tomorrow.

I got to ride in this beast at ZdayZ! When I got back I was asked what I thought - just sat there wide eyed n smiling like a monkey on crack!
Everything said above about mid corner and mid throttle modulation is absolutely accurate. Smooth, clean and responsive throttle control and boost across the roll or punch. Very impressive unit! I got the invoice sent to me to pre-order... aaaaaand the bank manager of the house shut this one down for a bit. Damn it... I wants it! |
I’m definitely eager to see this pre order list information.
|
My apologies Everyone. I was supposed to get the Pre-order list up. However, Family obligations took lead for me (weddings and birthdays) all at the same time. I have a draft already ready to post. If your interested in getting in on the group buy PM me and I can answer your questions directly. As of right now there are already 7 people pre-ordered that are not on the forums. Production of the stage 1 kits starts next week and the expected delivery date is July for the Pre-orders. There are 3 long lead time items (Supercharger, Heat Exchanger and Intercooler) Those take about 3-4 weeks a piece to have made. The Rest of the kit is made within a week or two.
