[QUOTE=Elmo370z;3698189]Sasha never said he was stopping. Only that one user did, and Ive never seen anyone else say it. So, for now, I'd wait to hear from Sasha. As you know, last word form Sasha was about 6 kits by end of Sept, which has come and gone w/o taking any orders, so let's just wait to see what Sasha himself says.

I took a measurement of the housing and it looks to be 3" exactly. But its not easy to measure .05". The down pipe appeared to be just under 3in or 3in exactly. Im probably going to give it another shot later today or tomorrow

Still no luck, after talking to other BP comp turbo owners and a few more attempts I'm pretty positive that I have the wrong turbo.

After speaking with sasha we came to the conclusion that I more than likely have the right turbo. However the down pipe flange could have potentially warped during welding. I plan on bringing the downpipe to a shop to have the flange grinded down a bit so that it can fit into the compressor housing.

If any of y'all decide to upgrade your radiators or do a coolant change during your install... Don't forget to tighten all the fittings going to the turbo and heater core lines.... Or you'll have a nice mess to clean up

Finally got that b!tch in there. I ended up borrowing a buddy's angle grinder and just went at it. It took my a few times of going back and forth between the turbo and the grinder. In the end I didn't even get the down pipe to push into the turbo all the way. I used the v band clamp to pull the 2 together.

Glad to hear it, and gorgeous photo. Also helps me with my RHD ambitions.
![]() Any chance you could take a few more shots of the Air Filter and where it sits in relation to the steering rack? Would be IMMENSELY helpful! *edit* Attached a photo of mine from way back. Trying to figure out of it'll clear that knuckle without any adjustments */edit* Last edited by MoulaZ; 10-05-2017 at 03:57 AM. |
