With this group buy, I will more than likely end up offering COMP TURBO oil-less triple ceramic ball bearing turbos. These will be on par with what the standard 6266 turbo offers as far as performance goes, but it will eliminate the following:

-Scavenge pump
-Turbo oil feed lines and fitting
-Turbo oil return line
-Turbo oil reservoir
-Exa scavenge pump
-Scavenge pump bracket
-Oil pan spacer

Here is a bit more on the technology:

Comp Turbo Technology Inc.

The turbos available are in the link below, just scroll to the "OIL-LESS 2.0" line, and click on it:

Comp Turbo - CT4 Series

This will simplify the install even further, and for maintenance all that is needed is a shot of high temperature grease every time you are doing an oil change. Of course, this would be included in the kit. The turbo does require water cooling, and the two lines will also be included in the kit.

I am still working on pricing with the supplier, but I suspect that the price will go up (from the price posted above) by only about $400 for a triple ceramic ball bearing turbo. This is less than what my current price structure is for a BB turbo from precision.

Looking forward to doing business with you :).

Is there anything different in this kit from the v2.0 kit from the other thread?

TopgunZ 09-28-2016 08:57 PM

By far greatest thing to happen to this kit! Comp turbo ftmfw!

Ditching the oiling system puts this kit into a whole new ball game. Good job.

This is the 2.0 kit, and nothing is different.

Thanks. I just wanted to see the brand go through the growing pains and sort out any potential issues that could come up in the first couple of years with wide spread use. I think they are at a good stage now, and the brand has proven themselves to be very reliable.

Do you have any pictures of how the water cooling for the turbo will be ran???

Sorry I do not, but it would be much like any twin turbo kit....except there would only be one line in one line out going to one turbo.

Should also be mentioned that with the oil less turbos, the install will be cut down by at least one hour.

At this point I am looking to move 10 turbo kits in order to offer the turn key kit with oil less turbos for around $7,500. Tuner kit will be about $6,450. These are triple ceramic ball bearing units with a 62 mm compressor and 67 mm turbine wheel, rated at 800HP.

This basically means a $300 difference for a ball bearing upgrade.

I can now confirm that once I have a dealer status with Comp Turbo, the total price for a triple ceramic ball bearing turn key kit will be $7,700.

With that, the scavenge pump, oil pan spacer, 3 oil lines, one bracket (for pump), oil reservoir and one electrical harness are completely eliminated from the kit, making it a simpler system to install and maintain.

The kit will include a tube of grease (retails for $180), as the turbo needs to be lubricated every oil change (3,000 miles), and staying with "the most complete kit on the market" I will also include a grease gun :).

These units are also about 10lbs lighter than the traditional JB and BB turbos as they have a billet aluminium center section, which is water cooled.

The Precision BB upgrade would have brought the same turn key kit up to $7,900...so a savings of $200 with the triple ceramic turbos.

WOW. This kit is reaching a new level of easy to install and also return to stock if desired.

Awesome job.

Thanks..and yes, the install is extremely simple, especially if you already have an oil cooler kit installed.

I was actually wrong about the amount of time saved on the install with the Comp turbo, as there is no need for an oil pan spacer/port for oil return. The oiling system, with the spacer would probably cut the install down by close to 3 hours for somebody doing the install themselves.

Things not needed for the Comp oil-less kit, that are otherwise needed for the PTE JB or BB kit:

* T fitting for oil feed at OEM OP sensor
* -4AN to NPT fitting at oil feed line
* BSP to NPT adapter
* -4AN 36" oil feed line
*-4AN to NPT fitting at turbo
* 1/8" to 1/4" reducer
* 1/4" check valve
* 90 degree 1/8" NPT fitting
* 2 bolts/washers/lock washer for oil reservoir
* oil reservoir
* 2x -8AN oil lines (reservoir to pump, pump to oil pan)
* pump inlet strainer
* Exa pump
* Exa pump mounting bracket and hardware
* Exa pump wiring harness/relay/fuse kit
* Oil pan spacer
* -8AN to 3/8" adapter for oil pan spacer (oil return port)
* RTV
* Teflon tape

What you will need for the oil-less turbo"

* 2x 3/8" T fitting to tie to coolant supply and return
* 2x 3/8" fitting for turbo water supply
* 6' 3/8" hose

Will also include a tube of grease, good for 30,000 miles, and a grease gun. Turbo is lubricated via grease every oil change.
