Sasha, I sent an email from R1solidus@gmail.com about getting the Motordyne Y. It came in two parts because I forgot my PayPal. If you can respond or just send an invoice for PayPal it'll be paid immediately. Thanks.

Thanks Sasha,

As soon as you're ready send the invoice. BTW it's with recirc. Once I get done with this build my next project is nagging you to make a logo or something so I can Rep BP. The airplane sounds snap necks but I need something for when it's not under load.

Aside from clearance with the Intake Filter & Steering Rack, I can't see there being any other issues.

Been collecting a lot of photos about this for a while. These are the best two so far that give the best idea of clearance, the third is from the last time I changed my clutch. I've rotated them to make more sense. In the event the Intake Filter doesn't clear, surely there are options for shorter Filters that would clear that bit on the Steering Rack...

JonellZ34_ 02-03-2018 07:34 PM

Hello fam ..with the BP for the 370z nismo what clutch and flywheels ya recommend ? I'll appreciate the help.

Better contact Joe@Zspeed he helped me out to find the right clutch for my needs. i went with stage 3 Southbend full face ceramic clutch and lightweight flywheel. i love it .. pedal effort almost like stock and the grab is amazing! cant wait to try it when i install my kit!

Thank you very much then. Your photos were what finally made me pull the trigger, and yeah mate whatever other photos you got of the area that give an idea of filter clearance would be appreciated!

Good luck MoulaZ! That filter is gonna be a bitch. The thing about it that lets it fit even in our space is the 20 degree angle. It runs into things if it's not angled in the up position. I'm stoked to see what solution you come up with. It's been bothering me so much lately that I've considered the what if's of the HKS mushroom and even filter screens. I think the HKS would sit too close to the turbo and be subject to heat and the filter screen....well it's a screen. I tried a K&N compact 4" but the lower angle still stuck too far and was obstructed. The only other option I can see is fabbing some type of flat box element that would house a good flat filter shaped like a dryer vent.( that's because I don't see 4" aluminum piping fitting to the fenderwell or snaking to the front of the car.) Those were just some of my brainstorms. Keep us posted when you start the build thread.

I agree. Need to find a better solution for the filter. I’m thinking about trying the hks mushroom of death as well. Just need something with better clearance

Till I mount it up, it's still a massive mystery to me. I wish I had some photos of the Turbo mounted all up, without a filter, in the car, showing the whole space infront of the Turbo.

Haha, did one already many years back for the Z32. Had way more time, and no wife back then. Don't think I'll have time for a proper one again.

I wish I had read this earlier this weekend. I put on a new turbo and could've taken the pic while clocking. That bastard is on there now. For reference it's a couple ticks better than installing headers and then seeing the gasket on the bench while getting the torque wrench.

Unless you plan for big power, paying for 3” is not required.

JonellZ34_ 02-12-2018 07:41 PM

Getting a tomei would be the best option then ?

So, I picked up my own 2018 370Z NISMO about a month ago...

And now the goodies that are essential for a happy ending:

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q...psoxds3jm6.jpg

I will probably get a build thread going soon. There are a lot of parts inbound.

jwick 02-27-2018 05:36 PM

There is a lot of these types of lifts out there. Just google "dual scissor car lift" and you will see.

I opted for the dual piston (per side), so it was a bit more, but I can't remember the brand/model.

Mr.Squeeze 02-28-2018 02:35 PM

Nice lift cant wait to see the build thread.

YzGyz 03-01-2018 10:00 AM

dang your garage is high. when my car is lifted max on my mid-lift scissor it almost touches the ceiling in my garage.

MoulaZ 03-01-2018 09:20 PM

Silly question, but a while back I remember someone commenting that when they got their new COMP Turbo that it didn't seem to spin all that 'freely' by hand. Also see a few COMP turbo clips on Youtube that seem to spin for an eternity after the engine has been shut down. Mine is still brand new (still in the box), also doesn't seem to spin by hand all that freely either.

Am I missing something here?
