Stillen cables suck I had same problem until I had my son make me new extension cables. No problems since

I had the same problem about a year ago and my shop diagnosed and fixed it. One of the pins had a bad connection. It's been fine since (touch wood).

Guess what? The problem came back yestreday just once so far. Guess I'll have to order the upgraded cables now too!

The cables look identical to the ones I already had on, to be honest. I would try diagnosing with your shop first, to see if they find another pin with a poor connection.
