Just got my scavenge pump :) cant wait to post up my build thread once I get the rest of the kit in.
|
Can somebody that a really good picture of all the springs in in the wastegate box and post it for me please. I'm trying to see which one I put in mine by process of elimination. I don't want to Uninstall the WG if I don't have to.

I have the left overs. I'm trying to see which one is missing so I know which one is in the WG.

Couldn't you turn off your boost controller and see what peak boost it hits? |
The EBC is my boost Guage unfortunately.. I guess I could 00 the Duty cycle and it will read the spring.
YzGyz |
Oh, I figured you had a standalone boost gauge. Never mind, carry on. :rofl2:
|
Well, I set the EBC to 00 so it runs at WG pressure. The EBC read max psi of 13 lbs on waste gate. I'm going to have to take the WGs off and take a look at what I put inside. As far as I know, I have been boosting at 13lbs all this time. The AFR has always been great since tune. Johnny my tuner tuned my car for 12 lbs so I have been 1lb over all this time. I'll also have to take a look at how the solenoid was hooked up again. Hopefully I can figure it out. Back on the lift it goes.
There are the spring I did not use. http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/d...seklkmgrv.jpeg YzGyz |
13 lbs is almost a bar of pressure. You can't do that with only one spring. I'm guessing you aren't reading the EBC settings properly.
|
Most probably right J. I'll reread the instructions and watch the video again.
ninja edit. probably better in EBC thread |
What a long work weekend....the good news, 4 kits are going out tomorrow, and the last two orders will be going out on Wednesday.
That is a total of 9 kits sold. Thank you very much for your business. The IC pipes will ship out later this week directly from my supplier. |
New BP brothers coming!

I'm curious if any of you went with 1.0 A/R vs the 1.15 A/R?? And if so, why? I'm also curious if anyone in here has driven one of each to determine the differences in turbo spool up and timing. I would imagine Vince at R/T may be able to chime in on this question as well which I'll probably shoot him an email now and relay back.
Thanks all! |

The beauty of the V2.0, that compressor cover :yum:
|
Is the compressor cover ceramic coated? Looks fantastic, been contemplating doing that as well for protection from the overall elements.

Not ceramic coated. It is the standard finish on the PTE turbos's.
|
I too thought of ceramic coating instead of heat wrapping... Shopping around south Florida to see the price range.

Ceramic coating does not work as well as wrap as far as protecting things from radiant heat off the turbo and piping. Definitely wrap even if you get it ceramic coated. I just went with coating at first and some of the wiring harnesses near the downpipe got a little crispy before I wrapped them. |
I now have kits in stock, ready to ship.

Just wondering if this is how you prep the turbo for install (clocked correctly and parts in correct order) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
BP V 2.0 turbo kits...ROUND 3 place your order now
My turbo feed line was 180deg from yours. I assume the return tank is attached to the bottom?
Edit - I see Sasha has added a 90 to the feed line fittings so you might be able to get away with that rotation. Don't worry too much about getting it clocked perfect. You can clock it in place. |
Yes that's correct. Thanks again!

Question for the BP folks out there... When does your boost kick in? Journal bearing? Ball bearing? Light weight/mid weight /billet steel flywheel?
