Do the air filter that comes with the BP kit need oil after cleaning them? What or should I say how is everyone cleaving there filter? I'm thinking of using my K&N filter cleaner but not sure if I need to recharge it or just dry and use.

Are there still kits available from this round of production or do I need to wait for the next round? I'll be ready to purchase in about 2 weeks. 2015 Nismo.

Are you guys pre filling oil cooler before first startup?

YzGyz 03-31-2016 11:14 PM

I poured in as much as I could before tightening the line down. I rather not let my engine run dry if I could help it.

Yes

I'll be on the bandwagon soon enough. Purchasing in 2 weeks and starting the build 2 weeks later. Unfortunately I'll only be able to help out doing the install due to breaking my right femur in a crash in December. I can get around pretty well but I'm not comfy with this install. My concern is getting a crash bar fabbed with a tow point. I had my PST carbon driveshaft poop on my G coupe and had to wait at the track till 3am for my tow hook to come from home. Don't want that issue ever again. There will be a build thread. "Solidus Boosted Performance Nismo Build." everyone's invited.

Has anyone else had their intercooler not fit the brackets?

Mine didn't fit correctly. I had to redial the bracket to mount it correctly. I had to use a drill press because the holes I needed partially overlap the predrilled holes.

Mine didn't fit either. But I knew coming into the install that it would be off. Redrill and you're good

TcRocket 04-05-2016 03:25 AM

Yeah my home were off as well. Put them in a mill and slotted them over 3/8" of an inch with a 3/8 end mill. 3/8" towards the outside of the car on each bracket if you're reading this Sasha.

I was thinking about that. Wasn't sure on the IC dimensions being the same seeing as its specific for their kit.
