Stock fuel pressure is 52 ...as boost increases it drops soooo with 8lbs pulley fuel pressure would be 44lbs which would support the boost ...with the 12lbs pulley pressure would be around 40lbs and not enough for the boost .....no real way to increase it without the return system

Even 450whp is alot on these cars, hows it on the road, like traction etc, break loose alot?

Jinxx 04-24-2016 03:25 PM

You will lose traction if you are aggressive with the clutch ......when I was running everytime I shifted gears it would break traction ...back end would kick out a little each gear ....I really like the difference between the 92 and 85 pulley tho ....power comes on much sooner

Ya I ordered the 85mm to have on stand by already lol, haven't even driven the car yet, can't beat that price,I'll be taking it out this Sunday for a ride with no bumper to make sure blow off valve is adjusted properly then I'll update on my boost experience :happydance:

Hooked up my innovate db gauge with lc2 to log for seb at specialtyz, everything looks good in the AFR department so far

You will need the fuel return system with that pulley

But .... That pulley is sooooo much better lol

Ya iam happy to run the 92mm for now,iam sure it will be enough boost ,car hasent even been on the road yet and I got the pulley for future fun lol

Why go through the retuning ..... Slap it on there pay for one tune and be done that's the main reason I haven't done the custom tune yet ... Wanna make sure I have what I needed ...pulley ... And fuel system to support it .... The tune once and all fun after that .......till it blows lol

Got an oil leak on oil cooler line from gamma, waiting on gamma for replacement line

Jinxx 04-30-2016 11:15 PM

I got my oil cooler from z1 ....hoses were serviceable and I had to cut them down shorter ... Still have enough hose to replace the lines if needed

What did you decide on for a fuel return system?

Jinxx 05-01-2016 09:13 PM

I'm gonna go with the cjm kit .... Once I break down and order it ..won't be much longer ......then I'll set up a custom tune .....

tiller 05-12-2016 07:07 PM

Well to start,I got a few miles on my stage 2 sc kit now, quality of the kit is a 10,the car drives and feels like stock while driving normal, the boost is addictive, all other upgrades I did with the kit like csf rad, thermostatic oil cooler kit are a huge change, car runs alot cooler, ecutek tunning is great,I can't say enough about seb at specialty,he is awesome to work with, gamma has been nothing but good to be with service and parts, iam still working towards the best tune with seb n ecutek,I have the smaller pulley on my sc(92)but so far feel feels great and has more then enough power,I also have the 85mm pulley but will hold off on it and keep enjoying driving my z,future upgrades include clutch\flywheel,stabilizer bars, tires etc the list will go on,also I'd like to do a built short block in future aswell,I did all the work so far on my car and it has been great, cars are built not bought,u can't really appreciate the full fun of a car if you didn't build it yourself, just my opinion, thanks guys on the forum for any help and thanks to the guys that run the forum for letting me post on here,I'll update as more parts show up:driving:

Glad to hear everything is running good ....keep in mind when you go to the 85mm pulley you will need to go with the upgraded fuel system ....mine should be here in a few days and can't wait to get it tuned up right

Ya gona run the 92mm for a bit,I always ran my car near redline when it was stock and like now the power comes on but eventually will go to the 85mm.

What brand of fuel system did u decide on?
