BBR shop car build
What's up guys I've been away for awhile. I'm back with a whole new setup.
I got my shop all set up and finally retired from the Army. So a lil history last November I decided to test my my limits of my stock block and it went pop around 16psi. Then I started my build on the car and just got ****** over multiple times. so after 2 blocks and my eagle rods rusting and a company I wont name taking forever to send all my parts. I scrapped that whole build and the single turbo setup. now about 2 months ago I got my **** together and made enough at the shop to start the new never ending build. I wanted to stay on the 3.7 and do this, I have a point to prove so please don't ask why I did. thanks. The car still has all factory stuff like a/c, window washer box, all the good stuff. I believe I will pull the head studs out of the block before I max these turbos out. This turbo setup has the best ground clearance that I have seen on anything with mid mount setup. This can and should make huge power but we will see in a couple weeks. Here is the parts list. Engine & drivetrain PRS closed deck block(.20 over 10:1 fully balanced to with in 1/2 a gram) Arp L19 and arp 2000 mains Carrillo custom pistons( upgraded wrist pins) Carrillo pro H-beam rods(CARR 625 bolts) STOCK crank(lol) that has the works done to it Super tech valve springs springs Ported and polished heads Custom 280 exhaust cam PRS custom GTR lower intake manifold(flows an avg of 100cfm more per cylinder) OS Giken triple disk DSS axles. turbo kit Twin 6262 Comp triple ball bearing turbo with billet center cartridge tial SS .82 exhaust housing each turbo will have and intake to the front under the bumper 2.5 manifolds from header to turbo 2 tial 44mm 2 tial bov's Fuel I.D. 2000 twin 450 pumps CJM fuel return suspension BC coils 10k 12k poly bushings through the whole car every spot... 19x12 widen factory rims for the sleeper look weld draglights 15x10 with X275 tires. Tuning full access Ecutek race rom2 I tried a lot of things people told me could not be done. well in about 3 weeks we will see if my crazy mind pans out. I will post pics here soon. thanks to my sponsors PRS, Ecutek, Nitto, Comp, Ostar motor sports |
Welcome Back I was wondering where you went. Congrats on retiring I have 8 more to go myself.

here are the manifolds fitment, clearance and turbo location. The vband's will be here tomorrow so I can mount the turbos and start making the brackets for the turbo's.

Glad to see you back. Your DIY single turbo build was very impressive. Can't wait to see what this one holds.

Ok so here is the stock cam vs my 280 cam (which will be for sell soon) this should help combined with the vvel control through ecutek and a redline of 8500 rpms. This 3.7 should have no trouble moving air...lol.

Will the factory oil pump be able to handle a redline like that? Or have you changed that in some way? Lol

Finally got my gtr manifold in. Now just waiting for the lower conversion to get finshed up at PRS. I'm going to go ahead and shoot this with some powdercoat this weekend and get it ready. Once it's in the car I'll have to make new charge pipes from the intercooler to the tb and mount the tials.

I like that. I wonder what the benefits are besides looking cool lol. Id like to see a direct comparison with this vs the 370z manifold.
|
All I'm worried about is the factory one blowing up. Plus the lower intake conversion I'm getting from PRS flows 100cfm more per cylinder.
|
Holy crap. You are going full retard on this build. Nice. What is you end goal as fas as power?
|
Awesome build!! Cool to see you stay 3.7 most people don't realize what 3.5 or 3.7 VQ is capable of when built properly and with turbo's capable of making ridiculous power. Kudos my friend

[QUOTE=BBRSpeedWorks;3332512]Lmao full retard....I dont have really have a end goal. We are going to push these setup as far as we can. I believe we will max the turbos. Then up grade to the next block PRS will make that has bigger head studs. I want to make a 1000+ on a 3.7 someday.
That was exactly my plan with my build. No real end goal, just see what we would get with the components chosen. Ended up @820wheel and 733trq. I would assume you to be not to far from 1k before you even upgrade to the next block Edit: I shouldn't say "ended".. I'm using a stillen exhaust, I seriously need to run a 3" and then I will be running at 100% efficiency with my set up and will have an end result |
Wow amazing work mate. Super keen to see the finish build

Ya man this block is expected to make close to 1500hp. But I'm almost sure I'll pull head studs that high.
|
That's crazy 1500hp. you would have the fastest 370z if you got that much power

Quadruple digit HP 370Z...:yum:

dont worry guys me and Bryan have been talking over facebook for a while now... there will mostlikely be two 1500hp 370z's... his with the closed deck and mine with the 4.5L... I am rooting for you bud! Let the games begin!
