yeah nt555rs are crap for the track, but they arent that bad for roll racing. The trick is to heat the tires up, im lucky bc i actually installed a pair of line locks on my car, so its probably that ur tires need to be heated. If anyone has questions on my line lock id be happy to share what i have.

Bolio: Yeah there was a bit of lag in the beginning bc i didnt give it enough rpm at launch, Im still searching for that sweet spot (rpm wise) at launch.

this year for me is all about the 1/4, next year will be all about road courses

I use a app called Harry's Laptimer, it's pretty nifty uses the phones camera or you can link a go pro. App was only $20 on sale. Has a ton more features that I'm not using yet.

yep, not provided by the track, its an app you use on your phone and can support with your GoPro or phone cameras with data logging. Its pretty bada$$, they just had another update on it. We use it pretty regularly as it has most of the popular tracks and layouts on it, and uses your GPS in your car or phone for all logging(can vary accuracy depending on which unit you utilize)

How does it know the track layout? i'm assuming it has certain tracks on file?

Thanks man! That was one of my very first runs with the Z. If I remember correctly, it was right about 11.5lbs. Kinda wish I coulda recorded 13, maybe in the future when I have some better tires. Right now I just slide all over the place 1-3 at 13lbs. LOL

It has a pretty comprehensive database, and uses the phones GPS.

Okay, here is a video that I have held back for some time, but for entertainment purposes I've decided to share. My girlfriend being silly while drinking passenger side, decided to have fun along on this drive. While I no longer own this car; I am currently building a 2016, 370z Boosted Performance Mid Mount Turbo. I thought y'all would enjoy this video because we loved having fun in a Boosted SuperCharged Automatic 370Z!

The entertainment is a Ford Focus playing with my SuperCharged Auto 370Z in Mexico and thinking they can race.

What we're u launching at? That's one of the trickiest things on the Z34.....everyone I know drag racing their Z34 has a poor to semi decent 60 ft....The track set up and prep has a lot to do with it...What I've come to find out with our track is that what myt be the sweet spot this week won't necessarily be the same sweet spot next week due to track prep...

I was launching at around 2500 rpm. I even tried ecutek launch control but that didnt work out well. Just turned into a lot of spinning and some wheel hop. It def is tricky and the track prep was pretty awful compared to the place we are going at the end of the month. Theres a lot of learning and practicing to do w tuning and testing. I cant wait. Im gonna aim for 1.6-1.7 60ft.

Super excited to see the new results! That was your first time ever at a 1/4 mile too wasn't it? Dude trip #2 is a whole dif experience. You know what to expect, now you can focus on times rather than just surviving. LOL

The Super Street Interview video is back up! :D For those of you that missed it bc the lambo blew up in the original video, they had to take it down and re-edit it. Ended up hitting my 163 mph goal in the 1/2 mile! 4 mph faster than the Zr1 (which was my favorite beat) and 5 mph faster than the hellcat I was racing. Only going to get better once I get my r888s on!

Not sure who is in the background but it sounds like he says "Adios and Hafa Adai" which is a local term used here on Guam meaning "Hello and Goodbye" Whoever he is, I thought that was cool....Hafa Adai back to you man!

Yup that was me running against Tony (Fast Intentions), lol I laughed when I heard the commentary. I thought I did pretty good given the conditions that day...just no way to play with the guys with all wheel drive and more whp! It was fun as I was able to make runs up to 135 and 140 mph in about 1/3 of a mile. :driving:

I was rather surprised to hear the commentary in the background... not because of what it meant but because it was said in our native language out here....which is rarely heard of in the States Unless ur from Guam....doesn't sound by the accent that the guy is a local from here....he actually didn't announciate the words properly as how we would say it out here.

Thanks man...it was a great time. I was very happy with the performance of my car. Sebastian (SpecialtyZ) has really got my tune dialed in as I held my own against the boosted bad boy cars. I think everyone I ran against had at least 50 plus whp and torque than me and I was able to keep up with most of them.

I took a lot of people for ride a along...my favorite was a 9 year old. Before we took off he made me pinky swear that I wouldn't go to fast and then he said a prayer and crossed himself. Me, his dad and everyone around laughed so hard...it was perfect. We drove to the starting line and then after he crossed himself again we went took off. I was watching his facial expressions as I sped up to 120 and he was calm as a cucumber. When I came to a stop I asked him if he was scared and he said no that was fun can we do it again and go faster. I laughed and said okay, so we did and I did a 130 on that run. He was so happy, he wouldn't leave me alone afterwards.

370Z vs GTR
 

Reviving the thread....After several months I finally went back to the drag strip....and after setting up I was disappointed to find out that the timer and tree were down so it was just straight grudge races. Last time I went to the track I clocked a 12.8 @ 109mph....that was before switching to EcuTek and getting tuned by Seb @ Specialty Z.....

With no tree or timer I did the next best thing to pace myself..... I asked a GTR to do a run...Although I didn't take the W...the race was a great experience....The GTR with a TOMEI exhaust was last timed doing the 1/4 mile at 11.7 @ 128mph. Figured I'd share my humbling loss. Although the track prep was terrible with no VHT laid down on the track, in the end I was content with the race.

NICE!!! I heard you using LC. What did you preset it at? Looks like you spun for a while. I've still been playing with this trying to find that sweet spot. I STILL have yet to be able to go to a 1/4 mile :( The lame track here requires a fire suit.:eekdance:

Hey guys!! Been a while! Finally not 110 degrees out so I was able to head on out to the 1/2 mile races this last weekend and got a few great races in! Not the best angles, but I didn't wanna be a A55 and just assume the win. LOL I need more go pros!

I was launching at 4100K RPM....This is with no VHT laid and without RRTC. I also wasnt able to warm up my drag radials properlyn due to not having the ability on my map. Got with Seb and got both the RRTC and ability to brake while burning out without killing power to the Throttle Chambers......EcuTek is awesome. Haven't had a chance to check these new features out yet as I am in the process of getting ready to install the Air 2 Air kit from TopGunz onto the Stillen S/C. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I will be able to go out and try the new features.

Awesome races....wish we had the 1/2 mile out here. I also like the new Rear Wing....

RRTC is traction control I think, but I didn't know ecutek has the ability to add the brake and throttle feature for burnouts!!? Was that just a tuning thing or something you had to purchase equipment wise as well? I believe Hojin actually purchased something for that.
