I only ask because as part of the oil change on the trans you have to add the required amount (quickly replacing the screw) start the car then remove the screw, excess will drain but if nothing comes out then you can add more at this stage, while the engine is running, until it starts to drain. It should be at the right level then. Replace the sump screw and your away.
We had a copper tube on the pump with a small piece of the clear hose about 1" from the tip that worked as a plug so we could fill it with the car off. We then ran the car until the pan was 100 degrees and pulled the plug with the car running. The first time we filled it Pat didn't tell me to do it running and it was trying to dump all the fluid.

Maybe this will help?

Install a new O-ring to the charge pipe tool NO. 310811EA5A or equivalent. Connect a scan tool to the DLC and monitor transmission fluid temperature. Start the engine and warm the transmission to approximately 104°F (40°C) NOTE: temperature greatly affects fluid level. Ensure temperature remains constant during checking procedure. With vehicle on a level surface shift the transmission through each gear, then return to the P position. Raise the vehicle and remove the overflow checking plug from the pan. Install charge pipe tool NO. 310811EA5A or equivalent. HAND TIGHTEN only. Connect a suitable fluid pump to the charge pipe and add 0.5 liters of the correct fluid to the transmission. Remove the charge pipe. If no fluid flows from the overflow hole Continue adding fluid. Allow fluid to drain until it drips. Install and tighten overflow plug.

this is now much Nissan says it should take.

Liters 9.2 Quarts 9.7

If you don't shift through the gears it wont take all the fluid!

Well let me know Jason if you are able to get 9.7 quarts in. I figured the dealership would know how much to put in. If that is what they call for then Im guessing it has to fit somehow. Im going to call my buddy at Nissan today to see why they only put 8.5 in mine.

Level ten left out the shifting it part in his instructions to me! S**t, I just drove it and it seemed fine. We were going to dyno it at three but I guess it back to the lift and there is a car on it.

No, we are going to check the trans one more time. They were installing a armytrix exhaust on an audi that has been kicking their butt today. He is still at the shop working on the audi and is almost done, we hope to get it on the dyno tomorrow. I don't know if you have seen the price of that exhaust, it's nuts but they have done 4 in the last week.

Yesterday I ordered a new BPV and this will be the 4th one I will have on my air to air setup. I am going to try the new TIAL QRJ.

So far I have had on:
Stillen Bosch (plastic garb)
Turbosmart Kompact (1" inlet and outlet are too small causing judder on high psi)
Vortech Maxflow Race (bought a used one, thought it had a problem, bought a new one, same problem, loud whistling noise from 1200 to 2000 rpm, it sucks)
Tial QRJ (hopefully awesome)

Good choice. For BPV's, I've found TiAL and Synapse are the least problematic. Others loose their adjustment, or start acting inconsistent in time. TiAL is my go-to for high psi applications, like 25+psi.
