I will let you know if it holds more.

So did you dyno it at 3?

I'm guessing not or we would of had an update.

JWillis72 02-10-2016 08:28 PM

No, we are going to check the trans one more time. They were installing a armytrix exhaust on an audi that has been kicking their butt today. He is still at the shop working on the audi and is almost done, we hope to get it on the dyno tomorrow. I don't know if you have seen the price of that exhaust, it's nuts but they have done 4 in the last week.

Best of luck today !

Hopefully everything goes smooth!

Yesterday I ordered a new BPV and this will be the 4th one I will have on my air to air setup. I am going to try the new TIAL QRJ.

So far I have had on:
Stillen Bosch (plastic garb)
Turbosmart Kompact (1" inlet and outlet are too small causing judder on high psi)
Vortech Maxflow Race (bought a used one, thought it had a problem, bought a new one, same problem, loud whistling noise from 1200 to 2000 rpm, it sucks)
Tial QRJ (hopefully awesome)

What level did u guys have it at the last time u put the tranny in....u know....before u heard the noise during the dyno and removed it to send it back to Level 10?

RadioFlyer 02-11-2016 10:48 AM

Good choice. For BPV's, I've found TiAL and Synapse are the least problematic. Others loose their adjustment, or start acting inconsistent in time. TiAL is my go-to for high psi applications, like 25+psi.

About the same 8.5.

I wonder if the Dual turbo smart 34mm would be better?

Let me know, ill buy the one that works well lol

JWillis72 02-11-2016 11:30 AM

I have the Stillen one on my car right now and it sounds waybetter than the turbosmart one.

TopgunZ 02-11-2016 11:39 AM

I agree. I put the bosch one back on aswell and ordered that vortech because I couldn't take that judder anymore. I wonder why so many guys use that turbosmart. The vortech sounds amazing but I cant get rid of that squeal. If it wasn't for that I would love the vortech.

Hopefully the Tial sounds good. It is a completely different design so we will see.

Started my car today, only 7-8 psi at idle for oil pressure!

Im like wtf, took my supercharger off, pulled both cam spocket covers off, got a scope in there.....

and the oil gallery gasket has come apart... grreeaatttt.

I have to pull the whole front of the engine off. not happy.

Check your oil pressure guys!!! if it reads low, its most likely this problem.

Glade I have a oil press gauge, otherwise I probably would have taken out my engine.
