Hey JWillis ...

I did hear back from rb Racing ... that switch is a special order item - custom made as needed.
These guys are serious in what they do,which is racing, and take pride in their craftmanship.
You'll need to contact them directly after you talk with AAM or EcuTek.

In the meantime - here is a youtube of the EcuTek launch control being demonstrated in a 370z.

Since you are a track racer you might not even have the need for Launch Control - or if you only use it occasionally you can always set it by trial and error and just leave it.

In this case you should be able to hijack the Cruise Control and use it for the Traction Control instead.
Double Check with EcuTek on this to see if it is a good option.

Thanks again, I will call them tomorrow and get one ordered.

Why not ???
Do a search on youtube for the EcuTek Traction control...
They have a few for the GTR which is also an Automatic.
Here's just 1 ...

The website says it's not available for 7at. And the gtr comes with launch control stock. My guess is the ecutek just modifies it. I will have to talk with Seb and see what we can do

I totally forgot that JWillis has a 7AT - totally different than my 6MT... but we will find out when he checks it out ...
Looking forward to what Seb says as well...
Hope I didn't cause a big ooopsie here.

No I don't think so, I want the traction control and don't care about launch control at all. My biggest hope is that it will allow more yaw so the car can side through turns without cutting power.

I would think that we would still be able to adjust traction control, but just not on the fly with the racerom using the stock gauge. We will have to confirm this with Seb though.

I emailed Seb earlier this morning asking about this. We are in the middle of my flex fuel tune so he should email back tonight or tomorrow morning. It was my understanding that the traction control was fully adjustable by the driver using the oil temp gauge.

Z&I 02-28-2016 07:41 PM

This is what I'm thinking as well - but if you don't have the stock gauge then it's just trial and error until you get the right setting...

Any word yet ???
Still might be a good idea to use that rotary switch for the Slip Control ...
Would probably be easier and faster than fiddling with the Cruise Control, and you might be able to do it on the fly as well...

No, we have emailed ecutek but haven't got an answer. My blower is tomorrow so we should be giving it a try again next week.

StillenZ84 03-02-2016 06:39 PM

I couldn't get a direct answer out of Seb either. He wants to get my tune finished before we mess with the traction control.

JWillis72 03-02-2016 07:07 PM

I'm kind of getting the same thing.
