Default NEED INSIGHT: Is this a good deal?

A local guy is willing to sell me a Greddy 20G TT kit.

- Came off a crashed track car he bought from out of state.
- Not originally his car
- Engine is seized
- Turbos appear good
- Kit is used, but everything appears intact.

Kit includes
- Reflashed ECU
- 600cc DW injectors
- Everything in the Greddy TT kit
- Turbos
- Full exhaust

BUT Kit is MISSING
- Greddy FMIC
- GReddy BOV's

update: no longer buying kit. Buying a different one. Thanks everyone. Saved me a headache.

well u may find that the charge piping maybe bent out of shape but a competent shop should be able to make it work. you wouldnt need to get a greddy fmic, im sure u could get a good deal on one that is similar and make it work. if you cant get a greddy but other than that sounds good. maybe try for a better price? not sure if you can just swap ecu's?

Only one pipe appears to be bent, and he assures me he can repair and tig weld it professionally.

He also says he recommends an aftermarket FMIC as well and he will give me his pricing on an aftermarket one.

He said he will supply the GReddy BOV's

Check the turbo wheels for damage and shaft play. It's possible debris got sucked in and / or blown through them during the wreck

Ok. There is no shaft play. Didn't check for debris damage.

Thoughts on price?

Thats what I am thinking as well. I offered him $4,200 for everything if he threw in the used OS Giken clutch. He said no.

He is stuck at $4,000 + my OEM 2012 Pearl white bumper. So basically $4,300.

What is a good price?

not a good price for a used + been in accident kit IMO.
Why do you want to get his used clutch as well? You dont know how much wear it has.

Either do it right or don't do it at all. Also don't cut corners on supporting mods.

Maximum I would ever pay is $3000 USD. Tell him take it or leave it.

^^^^^ What a waste considering who it went to. He's never going to use it.

Thats not the guy that is selling it on the Facebook 370z page is it? He has been trying to sell that thing for $7,200 shipped for months now. Everyone has been flaming him for trying to flip it.

Like I said, the perks of this kit is
- full exhaust
- DW 600cc injectors
- ECU

Im still undecided.
