Saying you WON'T get into an accident because you won't let it happen... Full retard
When you have faced enough things in your life that are truly life threatening and have both learned and know the realities, seat belt harnesses aren't really something that trips the trigger. Accidents are always preventable, if you take the correct actions. In time, you see far more than you can today, my friend.
Stay safe out there and I will always do the same. Take care and I am on the way to the subway, peace...

well this really heated up. I can tell you that I have the exact same brace bar and intended to use it as a harness bar as well, however after receiving it I decided against it for the exact reasons highlighted above. OP you do whatever you want, but you cant argue the fact that it would be unsafe to use it as you intend.

Oh, he's arguing... Because he evidently got into some really bad car accidents which left him brain dead

No heat at all, at least not on my side! Everyone is surely entitled to make their own choice. This was mine and I am more than satisfied with it. You
must make your own choice accordingly. Your ride and clearly your own call.
I knew what my plan was and I stuck with it from start to finish. My last car
(3000-GT) had a harness installed and I wanted another one. The Amuse bar
made it possible. So there it is. Hope that you are pleased with yours, as well!
Have a better than average evening!

I'm going to hell if there is one, I know that. I have no problem with that.

Not because I was dumb enough to put my life/someone else's life in danger by trusting a fake harness bar

Surely not I, I am laughing the entire time. I don't have an issue with what I decided to do. He does apparently. I guess he's upset that he will have to either visit me in the hospital or come to the funeral? Twitter on the Z Forum, no less!! ROFL & CGU

Wow, you are really becoming upset over this. Geesh, it's not that deep, at least not for me! Chill, take a deep breathe, relax, take a drink, get a smoke
or something...

I apologize for waking up the bears on this topic. I simply wanted to impart the knowledge that I gained from my research into aftermarket seats, harness bars and harnesses.

I understand that you feel safer while using a harness, and I thought they were the safer option as well; but the truth is, for road driving, harnesses are highly recommended against and even more so with an improper mounting point, which anything that uses the stock brace location is.

I know it sucks when you spend that kind of money and the general consensus is negative, however, I implore you to take our advice. The bar is beautiful, but just as a show piece. If you want to utilize your harness, please look into a proper harness bar. There are custom options that aren't too intrusive and will provide you with some of the safety you were looking for. As for the harness. Hopefully you bought one with an anti-submarining system, because not having one while on the road is really dangerous. I know you say that you won't get into an accident, but that's why they call them accidents, you never know when one will happen, regardless of your precautions.

You brought up motorcycles. I think that's a great example, because quality safety gear can be the difference between walking away from a get-off and not. The same applies for cars. Just because you are in a cage does not mean being less safe is OK.

OP is so fúcking old, decrepit, and brain dead he doesn't care.

Somehow his old áss's reflexes will save him from any and every car accident

But thank you for your input

This thread reminds of the "370z" group reactions/comments on Facebook. Sad that it's hitting our forums now.
