Well if this Z does survive 20+ years of service, someone is gonna need to weld in a new floor someday.

Unless you take care of it now. Clean, dry, rust eater, maybe weld a small plug in primer and paint.

Edit: 50% chance either of these two happens

Most likely your A/C drain is clogged. This has happened to me in multiple cars I owned.

You scumsssssss! You forgot to mention the door also has seals, including around the window, that could also be a possibility. Check all the simple stuff first. Had a few buddies that had to replace them. May not be your problem butbid check them for holes or tears

Not digging threads intentionally, but...

The wife's 2010 roadster convertible (totally original) is taking on water ONLY on the drivers side. After getting it all dried out (wet vac, towels) I had her sit in it and blasted it with the water hose for 30 min. No sign of leaks anywhere. With the car sitting in the same spot, it started raining again overnight. Driver's side floorboard behind seat is full again.

Has anyone experienced this that hasn't cut holes or made other mods?

Sounds like it might be a leaking door or window seal. IIRC, there is also a seal behind the B pillar finisher.

Wet seatbelt sounds like a problem with the B pillar finisher. At least one thread on the subject.

Roadsters dont have a B Pillar. Ishtim, heres a diagram of the seals for the top. Check #17, 18 and 19

I certainly will as soon a s the wife gets home... Am I looking for tears or what? I looked at it briefly yesterday and didn't see anything odd.
Thanks for the diagram BTW.

I would look for tears, even small ones, and if the rubber is dried out. Check how the seals sit with the top closed. Clean the seals if theyre dirty. Also, that vinyl strip that protects the lid, that could also be a source of a leak if its rotted.

Sit inside and have your wife spray down the car and see if you can detect the leak. Curious, do you use high pressure when you wash the roadster?

Thanks again... here's a follow up: After a rainy day, water again pooling behind seat when wife got home. Drivers side floor (under mat) slightly damp but firewall and all other vertical surfaces dry to touch.

I opened the top about half way and did a visual inspection of the seals starting with #17, 18 & 19 around the window as suggested. I didn't find any tears and everything still feels soft & supple (garage kept since new). I wiped down all the rubber with a damp terrycloth towel (some had light traces of dirt) and did a closer inspection of the "tub" that the top folds down into. It looked dry. The only suspicious thing I see is the vinyl "sticker" that protects the painted surface from the canvas top's seal. It looks like it is starting to bubble up in places, but it is on the outside and it seems that any water would find the gutter under the trunk lid and drain out towards the tail lights. I wasn't able to sit in the car and have the wife spray the car with me in it yet, but its still on the to-do list. Now that I've cleaned up the rubber, I'll check again tomorrow evening. We are supposed to get rain all week.

FWIW, car has never seen a pressure washer nor a drive-thru car wash.
