I don't know why anybody would want to paint carbon. Just doesn't make sense to me

You can, shouldn't be a problem for a competent shop. You run the risk of the hood having yellowed though

What do you mean about it being yellow. Luke if you sand past the clear and hit the carbon?

Carbon is get coated. That gel coating turns shitty and yellow after a few years. Them most decide to paint it.

So, you might pay $400-600 to sand the damn thing just to see that the carbon is yellow
