I don't think you can take them apart to get to the led's

You may want to consider painting them.

Since that will make them illegal Im NOT taking responsibility IF you happen to get pulled over for having modified non DOT lights.

I would recommend putting a vinyl wrap over them instead. Paint is rather permanent. Vinyl can be peeled off when the time comes.

Contact bluebatmobile. He might be able to make some overlays.

The LEDs are surface mounted, and you'll need some tools like a head gun and soldering iron. You know Nissan charges almost $750 for each DRL, right? The LEDs are actually really cheap, but the OE part is crazy pricey.

Here's an example of what it looks like pre-mounted on an aluminum base:

Wow tough work. Guess I have to do over winter time to play around. I wonder if someone ever did it. I saw one guy on forum did it but forgot where he post it at unless you know someone who did it would be nice to show picture so I can see.

As long as the lens and housing is not zap sealed like the tail lights, getting to the LEDs would be easy. I peeked at a 2013 the other day, and I assume they use Luxeon Rebel LEDs.

This is the physical size:
