How to adjust time on Headlight delay-off

I don't like where they positioned the auto feature. When you use manual on/off it has to go through the auto position which triggers the lights back on again for a split second before being turned back off again. And the 45 second delay is way too long for default. Something like 15-20 seconds is more than long enough. Why didn't they allow us to change it via the in car settings without NAV? Another 370z driver and friend of mine was following me once in a heavy downpour and he was using the auto position....his lights never came on...
