Yep! Another diy be me, canards?

I took some tin foil and rolled it so I could conform it to the bumper. Then I transferred the shape onto a piece of cardboard and cut it out.

Default Yep! Another diy be me, canards?

I took some tin foil and rolled it so I could conform it to the bumper. Then I transferred the shape onto a piece of cardboard and cut it out. I took the design from the look of the APR front canards. They are going to sit at about a 15* angle.

What's everyone think?

Idk if the sharp angled point compliments the front or not. I'd love to see a straight on photo.

I like this. It's got a rounded tip now, the line running from the front to back matches the bumper into the fender perfect and the front across plane isn't curved back like a air plane wing, it's more straight across into the wind as if it was a flat end school bus.

This the angle you want? The angle of attack is 15.6 degrees on this lower. Still making the upper out if 22g for a template.

Don't mind the upper ones out side edge. This was all for the correct curve of the bumper. It got wavy so the carbon fiber one will be wider and more straight.

I would make it even more rounded. Seems like it's sticking out to far

Interesting...
Are not canards available for the 370 in CF?
You are planning on making them out of CF.
What the plan to do this? Are you going to cover the
shape made of sheet metal etc? Most canards I've seen
(had some Varis canards on my 350)are molded.
I agree, the parts need to be more rounded or they will look
like a universal fit part.
Good luck!

Great start but I'm with RyanWest that it's a bit too big and/or not quite curvy enough to fit in with the rest of the body. But it ain't my car.

In for pics of finished product.

PS: The hood vent looks great.

Not mine
Yes, 12x48 panel for $45 on eBay
Down force of course. As stated the metals just a mold or template for cutting.
More rounding will be less material and less down force. I don't think any canard looks "factory."
Thanks

Well it's just a template and paper thin. The cf will look good with the white.
