Default Dome light continues to draw power when car is off?

I recently changed my map lights to LED lights and couldn't be happier with the way they look. However, I have found that they seem to stay on even after the car is off. I do not know if this issue is present with the OE lights and I'm not sure if I'm an isolated incident.

This issue appears only when the switch is left in the "door" position. Switching them to "off" turns them off completely. Can anyone who has switched to LEDs comment on if this is a known issue?

Please note the images look like simple reflections of other exterior lights. I assure you this is not the case because there is a clear difference between the "door" position and the "off" position.

Images below.

this has been mentioned a few times already, the power draw is so minimal for a led that the car will never notice it. another person on here had even left one completely on for 2 weeks in a garage and the car started fine.

This happened to me as well. I will be experimenting in a few weeks with some small resistors to see if I can drop the power draw to the boards to 0 when off

The BCM (and other control modules) uses solid-state devices (eg, transistors) to control power to lights and other items. These devices don't turn all the way off. LostSol's idea of putting a resistor in series with the LED should work (there will still be some leakage but it should drop below the threshold of the LED) but may affect the brightness of the LED when it is on. Make sure the resistor(s) have a power rating large enough to handle the load and are mounted where they can safely dissipate heat.

Thanks for the responses, guys. If the power draw is that minimal then I don't think I'll bother doing anything about it.
