Default TPMS light continues to blink after new tire

So I got a flat a couple weeks ago and put a spare on. The TPMS light stayed on and blinked which made sense since the spare has no sensor, but once I put my new tire on the TPMS light continues to stay on. Do I just need to drive the car around for it to reset itself? All I did was back the car out of my garage into the driveway so I haven't drove it yet with the different tire on.

Did you use the same TPMS as what was on the car before?

And yes you must drive around above 20mph for like 2 miles.

As Baer383 says, it should clear itself after a few continuous miles of driving at normal speed. If you want to know exactly how fast and how far, the info is in the FSM (and possibly the Owner's Manual), otherwise,

You can find FSMs here.
