I say keep the orange part red when not lit - assuming its the blinker.

That's what I'm thinking about too. Challenge is fitting the reverse light in there somewhere and make it look good. maybe I'll leave it in the centre, one bright led each side

Maybe just keep it in the same spot as the stock light? Or have that section of the red switch over to leds in that spot? Just throwing ideas.

What if the reverse lights were a strip of LEDS along the bottom?? 1 row all the way across??

I think you also need to keep the reflector there, but I like the idea of having them on the bottom like luciano13 mentioned...maybe a photoshop will help?
