Default Additional power outlet

I am trying to add another power outlet for my radar . I don't leave it out all the time unless i am traveling. Unfortunately we have our outlet on opposite side of the car wish we had another one under the steering wheel area . Would i just tap into the wires from the other plug and do the wiring from there or do i need some sort of fuse ? I am already using the one in the center console for my cell phone and the one on the passenger side for my gf laptop.

I wired one over on the Drivers kick plate using a fuse tap off the Cigarette plug main fuse. I have the actual socket zip tied up to the left and can just plug in there.... The way I have it, it's sort of a pseudo hardwire, with a lead run up to the mirror, all out of sight.

I think there's plenty. The one in the center console I mainly use for my cellphone. The one under the dash, I use for the radar. I do have one of those splitters but I am figuring out how to mount it first.

Hey modshack - think you could point us to parts and about how much work is done to get the wire out of there?

A cool feature with that console cover is that there's a little notch to run the cord when you close the cover.
