Has anyone tried this with door handles?

It seems that removing door handles (to have them painted to match the car) is a bit of a PITA. So I thought of maybe buying the EVO-R door handle

It seems that removing door handles (to have them painted to match the car) is a bit of a PITA. So I thought of maybe buying the EVO-R door handle covers and having them painted. Any thoughts?
