I also greatly enjoy the look of motorsport mud flaps and I have had them on my Evo and my STi. Price would be $100 from the Rally Armor site, I could probably find them for even cheaper.

I know many will declare this ricer, but I particularly like the red mud flaps. What do you guys think?

Attached are two pics of mud flaps on BRZ's, and one pic of my Z currently. The pic of my Z was taken with an iPhone then changed around with this one app. Sorry for the cheesy effects and weird distortions..

Side note, I recently put on GT3 RS side stripe decals and have been really enjoying them. Funny, I would put those stripes on my Z but not my 911..
Truly, I am not impressed by your mudflaps, sorry just being honest!

I try to keep my car away from the mud as much as possible But I say go for it if they're actually gonna benefit you

In for pics. I'm seeing lots of rock chips on my rear bumper and on the inside where it meets to the splash shield I'm looking into putting these as well in black.

That is on what I plan to do, but in snow. Unfortunately that requires some WAY better differentials to perform even average on the snow (even on top of studed tires), which I do not plan on getting. I decided awhile ago that I wasn't going to get them. I will instead most likely sell the Z and get back my '11 STi from my younger brother (who is moving to NYC and doesn't need a car) to get back into armature rallying.

I would still love to see a Z with flaps though.

Custom made from parts store "truck" mudflaps. I think they look good and have had a few others note them as well. I took my first long road trip to the Tail of the Dragon last month...no rock chips and a few of the Dragon turns helped me with custom clearance. They are 12" wide so they cover my 285's quite well.

Why not put the rs stripe on the Porsche but its ok on the Z? To each is own but it's a head scratcher for me.

Looks kind of stupid on the Z IMO. If you're after functionality, who cares what others think. I personally wouldn't put anything other that the OEM "mud guards."

Well, simply because I don't have a GT3 or even RS, and it would be similar to putting a Nismo badge on a regular Z. Plus, I like the current decal I have on it now (see attached). In the future when I mod my 911 (including exterior parts of the GT3 spoiler and different front bumper), I may put the center stripe similar to the 4.0 RS, or the side 3.8 RS stripes. Still haven't decided.

I agree that some more needs to be done to those flaps. It looks a little cheap to me. Maybe put some rallyarmor decals on them? Also, the front ones protect your paint, the back ones protect those behind you. You can even make the back ones a bit smaller or hang them higher up?

A clear 3m over those areas will protect paint aswell

Porsche looks nice and I can understand the logic behind why not put the stickers on it.
