no it does not. if you go to your car and look at where the battery cover towards the front there is a black plastic pop rivit. Remove that and look through the hole and you will be able to see the top of your tire. this kit comes with a post with a ball on top of it that you place through that hole and bolt down from underneath. then you remove one bolt on the hood hinge and place the bracket on there and replace the bolt. once that is done you position the strut between the two ball posts and press into place. Repeat on the other side, remove the original hood prop and throw away and you are done.

Not going to offer these to the Md Z club folks unless you get stuck with kits I guess. They still seem to be selling.

Ok. Same prices still apply for domestic shipping?

if they are all in the same area if one person wants to be the one to receive them they could save on the shipping. If I know how many I can get an idea on how much the shipping would be probably save each person at least 5.

Yeah if anyone bites, I'll just have them delivered to the club President and he can distribute at a meet.

Can you post pictures of the kit or a video or something so I can post the ad? I don't think it'll get much attention unless I can show people what they're getting.

BeemaaZ 02-14-2013 09:31 AM

Kelly, the YouTube video sold me! Send me your detail please. Thanks!

Ran home today to "set up" for valentine's and lo and behold, my hood damper kit was on the front porch. That was fast.

Thanks!

I'll post an ad on the MD Z club site once you have it up. I'm going to let the body shop install his weekend since I have to drop it off to get my wheel fixed anyway.

guys that I already shipped to do not use the niloc bolts that I sent for some reason they are to small and will strip the ball bolt. go out to your local hardware store and take your ball post and find the bolts that will work with them. for some reason the thread pattern is different than I first thought. they are only 60 cents if that. I will send anyone a set if they want me to or I can refund you 1 dollor on paypal if you want. I will explain this better on the video. If you have already broken the ball let me know and I will send you another set asap. I do apologize for the mix up on the bolts.
