What I do to avoid the sliding is place the adapter into the pinch weld & then bring the jack into it. That jack will bit into the adapter & the pinch weld keeps it from popping out. Plus it gives you enough clearance to get under the car

I wonder what the difference is, if you could trim it down so it Does fit in your jack?

Yes you could trim it down as it is only polymer. This is the jack that I have. You can also take the cup off this jack & drill the center out of the lifting pad little & it will sit lower on the jack without any sliding trouble.
