It's either normally open or normally closed, so to make it go away either take the two wires that go to the level sensor and tie them together or separate them once you disconnect them from the tank. Mine comes on when the tank is full, but I have the Nismo intake and thy may have not properly wired it as the kit comes with a new tank. I agree it's annoying.

DC this maybe a common problem with this kit as I have the same intake kit and I rechecked the wiring to be sure it was right.the fluid tanks are from another model and it may not be matching correctly.

The kit instructions say that the two fluid sensor wires are nor polarized. If that's true then it does not matter how they are connected. But if it is polarized then if they are wired wrong then it gets messed up and the light comes on. Or it could be the sensor that came with the new tank is bad. Only way to solve this is to take the bumper off and do some tests. I suppose you might be able to fiddle with it with the bumper on. I'll just have to dive in and fix it. Then again it could be a stuck code in the ecu too. Maybe a reset by disconnecting the battery fixes it. It's puzzling.

you can get to by pulling pass.side inner fender liner.I'll pull it one more time and reverse the wires if that doesn't work I'll just jump it. a reset wouldn't surprize me.

If you unplug it , I think the light will NOT come on. Removed my CAI from my 2010(with out washer bottle sensor) to install on my 12 and had no light on in the dash.

I had this problem when they added the NISMO CAI to my Z. I had the dealer check it and they ordered another switch as they felt it was bad. The replacement did the same. Well I reached up and rotated the float switch 180 Degrees, and the light went out, and everything works great now. The type float is different than the stock washer bottle, and for some reason when they put the kits together it seems they install the float upside down. If you just grab the connector on the bottle, and gently/firmly rotate it it will not leak, and the light will work fine.

EDIT: the stock switch is a standpipe type (float contained in a vertical cage), the NISMO CAI is more a float type that forms an L-shape when the fluid is low.

Yeah its actually quite annoying. Mine is coming on too because of when i got some damage to my car (mostly the wheel) it also cracked my windshield fluid container. Almost no visible body damage though.

What is annoying to me is the warning does not come on until 1-1.5 minutes of driving (not immediately) so you have to click through it after you are already driving. With oil and other stuff it comes on immediately when you first turn the car on so a bit less annoying IMHO.
