Z34 Front / Rear Emblems

So i received my emblems today but this is not going to be as easy as removing my Nissan emblem and replacing it with the EVO-R version like i thought. There are 4 dimples that stick out normally to help place the normal Nissan emblem to keep it in place, however the EVO-r version doesn't accommodate for this and don't see any other way besides knocking them down and then attaching...unless im completely missing how to do this...

Got mine in today and since it was raining, decided to go ahead and put them on...here is the finished look...pretty happy with the way they turned out.

question-if you opt for a backplate, is it removable from the Z emblem?

How did you go about taking the old emblems off? I know dental floss is a good method, but being that the emblems are indented, I've found it hard to get a good angle to saw under the emblems.

I used a heat gun and dental floss as well. I started at the left edge of the emblem and worked it up and down until i got about a 1/3 of the way through and then was able to pick it up and lift it by hand and the rest came apart easy.

If you mean that they are two separate pieces, then yes.
