Default My steering wheel has play ...please help.

I bought a used 370z and i love it to death but i noticed the my steering wheel is not as tight as what sports car should be . The steering wheel has a slight play like half an inch when you wiggle it . When running at slow speed its not an issue but if your in the highway it wonders a bit. Is there any way i could fix this, i have feeling it has something to do with the rack and pinion . Is there a way to tighten it or fix the problem without shelling out hundreds of dollars .

It might just need some tightening . Please help !

You should have 36,000 miles or 3 years, and the 2009 actually sold during first half of 2009, so you may still have warranty - when was your car first sold?

Mine has done this before, it only got worse. I got it fixed under warranty. They installed a brand new assembly. 5 months later and its doing it again. Its currently in the shop getting a new transmission and OSG clutch and it is on the check list of things to do. I will let yall know how it goes.

Mine got like that after a minor accident I had, and it was a little off center too. Got an alignment and it was much tighter like it was before.

No warranty...

It's 3 years or 36k miles, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST.
Unless it was first sold in 2010, warranty is long gone
