Driver's Arm Rest

I searched for a post but to no avail. Has anyone else wished they had a rest for their left elbow when driving? For me, the window sill is too

Default Driver's Arm Rest

I searched for a post but to no avail. Has anyone else wished they had a rest for their left elbow when driving? For me, the window sill is too high and the door rest is too low and I wanted to see if there were any solutions prior to my jumping in with a local upholsterer in coming up with something that wouldn't end up messing up the door panel. Sounds to me like I shouldn't be the only one (ok, maybe I am the only one) who would like a place to rest my arm when driving longer distances. H--E--L--P!!!!

Personally it never has been an issue. I'm sure others may want it. Guess it all depends on the person driving the Z.

I don't know of anything that would help you, aside from getting something custom upholstered like you mentioned.

Thanks zcarman and m41amustang, I appreciate the input. With luck someone else will see this and provide a solution I haven't thought of.

Keep both hands on wheel, no time for resting!

I agree (even with long arms, it's a stretch) but no suggestions for the left arm rest. Also, my right elbow constantly hits the open button on the center console lid when I'm shifting... it pops up, very annoying. Hopefully this doesn't happen to you too

Nope, lucky there. I like the idea of growing longer arms, but at 60 years old I'm shrinking, not growing! I guess I'll need to visit the upholsterer and see what can be done. Thanks for the suggestions.
