To all,
I regreat i did not take pics of Seibon cf mirrors during install which would really help everyone see why they are so difficult to assemble.
Trust me when i tell you i was way to pissed off to worry about pics when i was trying to get them installed. I was just about ready to rip them off and ship them back. It really got my blood boiling when i called
Seibon and they werer like ( dude what are u talking about) they had absoultely no clue what i was talking about when i told them about the spring! true story.I would say it took me a total of 4.5 to 6 hours to get them completely finished!! I had to take them partially apart a second time bc the mirros were so out of alignment they could not funciton properly. I had to drill extra holes and add additonal hardware to get a proper fit! remember no instrucitons provided or screws. just 2 mirror covers is all u get! Also i purchased a CF BS style hood from them and the fitment on that was also flawed. the Hood is to tall, to short and to narrow!!!!

I have these mirror covers and Had no problems with the install. I feel for the OP and I hope you can ask seibon to replace them with a new set to get them to fit properly.

I own business that is next to a shop that does custom carbon or kevlar in lots and lots of colors for anything. I am tossing the idea around in getting a mold made of various parts. Got quoted on a mold to make the cover for the battery and master cylinder and also the top radiator diffuser, just like the three ones made by PWJDM. At which point I can get them made in pretty much any weave pattern or color that is on the market.... Or if there is a part that is not available that people wish was I can see what I can do as a group buy to cover exspenses. It can not be something that that is not already a peice of the car or on the market already to make a mold, since I already know everyone wants a rear diffuser....

Sent a PM but will put it here to see if there is anyone else along the same lines.

Would like door panels, but leaving the fake suede, just CF everything else.

We do custom production of carbon fiber and FRP parts (mostly for GT-R), but we can do anything. If there is a big enough demand for carbon mirror covers we can get something done with no problem. The cost should be quite reasonable and everything would be produced in the USA.

Are you implying that there is some sort of functionality for a mirror cover?
