I currently have:
50% on the windshield 25% on door windows and side windows 10% on the hatch No problems or tickets. My car being black, the front windshield looks normal and the side windows look stock. If you were to do this on a brighter color say Red, Silver, Blue, or White, it would probably be more noticeable. Disclaimer: I have had this car in AZ and SC where tint laws are pretty lax. You'll want to check to see what your individual states laws permit before paying for it.
