So let me get this right, your telling me that you can adopt any knob to work with a 7Speed automatic? If so how does the mechanism work with you

So let me get this right, your telling me that you can adopt any knob to work with a 7Speed automatic? If so how does the mechanism work with you having to push it and change it into the gears? If thats the case do you have to Tommy Kaira shift knob?
