Not a bad idea. I go to the local pressure wash and crawl around spraying around. I like the high pressure but on the ramps I could put some crappy clothes on and go under there with a bucket of car wash and a soft brush. I can't wash the underbody on my lift because I don't have any floor drains near enough. For how little care I take in keeping my exterior washed/polished compared to most enthusiasts, people would be surprised how much I care about the underbody lol

Yah, I didn't come up with the idea, I read it online and tried it. The thing about salt is you need to keep it wet for 10-20 min before it all dissolves away. I don't like crawling under a car with my hose splashing water in my face so I do this after I'm done changing the oil while the car is still on ramps. This is on my dd, btw. My Z hibernates through winter. and good idea about the brush. I too use my wheel brush on stubborn areas.
