Which Fog to get EvoR or Jdm Spec?

1. The OEM piece isn't OEM for Z's sold in the states, hence JDM. So anyone familiar with Z's is going to know yours didn't come with it from the factory.
2. The LED one looks just the same as a blank like it came OEM, and illuminates when you want it to. So it looks as if nothings been changed... (especially on black)
3. You can get the EVOR LED one in RED as well to give it that 'stock' appearance.

In terms of brightness, you have to decide which do you want, 1 large bulb that you might eventually have to replace which looks like mids 90's taillights, or LED's which have a much longer life, use less energy, and is a much larger source of attention getting.

When it comes to the wiring, both are extremely simple. However, the LED light allows you to wire it to come on, and off. And also you have the option to Blink like F1 cars. To most this will be trivial, but it a better attention getter than a solid on light. Even in full daylight I have people asking me about it after they've followed me. So that should 1. tell you something about its brightness and 2. that it does actually get the person's attention.

Again to each unto their own, but just EVOR puts out a great product.

The most important thing for me is have a switch or a button to turn off the EvoR fog. I want to know what to buy along with it and need something cheaper than 160 for thezstore Jdm switch.

Well, I have mine wired to come on and off with my Daytime lights, it gets bright and blinks when I hit the brake, and goes off when I turn my lights off. So if that's what you're looking for, there are several DIY's for this.


If you're talking about a switch in the center console, there is one posted in one of the DIY's that you can get for cheap, and then it's just the cost of wire, and the labor of installation. You don't need to get the $160 harness I promise you. That's a ripoff.

I've been searching the DIY fog threads and could not locate where there is a cheaper switch. I have been searching all over the forums and vendors sites looking for a cheaper switch to connect to the Evo R fog. I am going to order the EvoR as soon as Jay replies, and all I need now is the switch. If you or someone can locate me to a cheaper switch on a website or somewhere I can purchase it, it would really help me because I cannot find it.

If you want a switch that has an OEM look to it, you can keep searching, another option is to go to autozone and get whichever switch you like that fill fit in one of the blanks after you drill it out to the correct size. Just another option...

Also, did you see ProfessorDave's method of button control from the DIY thread OP? Looks pretty simple and cool, I'd paint it myself so the button stands out, but that's up to you... its another idea... I might do that for another idea I have.
