So wouldn't that mean the light is part of the trunk and the spoiler is a separate part making it appear to be one piece?

By literal definition it would mean the that spoiler includes the 3rd brake light, and that it is not a separate piece. I'm going to go take a close up look at mine right now - but I'm not taking it apart
