It could have been a rock chip, sometimes rocks get tossed into the wheel area where they can chip the wheels or if the brake calipers if they contact them.

It could have been a rock chip, sometimes rocks get tossed into the wheel area where they can chip the wheels or if the brake calipers if they contact them. I would still talk to the dealer but more than likely, they will not warranty it.
The touch up idea is likely your best option.
