I find that believable. I believe it was the same way with the varis intake duct + JWT popcharger on the 350z.

I like intake ducts because I think that every little bit helps, but in reality, it seems that whatever true benefit garnered is minimal. I'd like to see some tests in warmer climates like where I live (It's 90 today... in April

For me at least, living where I live, my opinion is that any sort of extra venting for the intake or the engine bay sure couldn't hurt.

edited: Didn't realize you're from Houston. Let me know if you do some testing when we break the 100 degree mark this summer
