Default Z does not save/memorise my paired iPhone

Hey guys, just got my Z. It's a 09 model with 13,000KM on the clock, Silver, Hardtop, immaculate condition, Manual Transmission.

Newest Member on here, NEED HELP.

Problem: I add my iPhone as a paired device, use the handsfree system, it works all fine. Turn off car, turn it back on after 30seconds, the memory is wiped and i have to re-add/pair the iphone again.

It's not the phone as i tried another phone and done the same thing.

However, there is already an iPhone added to the memory (previous owner) "joey's iphone".. and each time i delete it, it comes back after I switch the car off/on again.

Cannot solve the mystery, please help.
Will try to d/connect the battery on the weekend to see if it helps reseting the memory, please advise if anyone had this issue b4 and how u fixed it.

Mine's an '09 and I have the same problem. I can't really figure out what is causing it. It comes and goes, sometimes it is fine and pairs with no problem, other times all I have to do is go into the iPhone Settings>General>Bluetooth then it magically reconnects to the system.

I believe the issue has more to do with an iPhone update that came out sometime last year (couldn't tell you what iOS update it was). Before then, my phone didn't have this flaky issue. Wonder if the '10's or 11's have this issue too?

thanks guys.. But i'm still on the floor.. bleeding.
no luck with resetting the battery (it reset the car' settings, but all the settings on the Nav system are still there).
I still don't understand why that other owners phone keeps coming back, i deleted it 100 times so far.

I'm now considering taking into NISSAN to take a look at it.
I don't think its my phone, my mate has the older generation iphone and it does the same thing.

Any other clues fellas?

Not a solution, sorry, but I would add that the bluetooth phone system in my wife's non-nav 2009 Murano is the same as the 2009 Z and her system works fine with her iPhone 3Gs and my iPhone 4. She had no trouble deleting her previous RAZR for the 3Gs and I had no trouble deleting my Blackberry for the iPhone 4. Wish I could help you, but it sounds like a problem unique to your particular vehicle. Maybe it has something to do with your particular import version? Seems like there are various little quirks from country to country depending on each particular set of unique vehicle and cell-phone regulations.

thanks guys.
wow from having a phone issue now i've moved on to having a WINDOW issue.
My window auto-lift does not wanna work after washing the car on Saturday.
Auto-down works, but auto-up doesn't.
The problem becomes a real problem when you open/close the door, because each time you open the door the window goes down a little. So i'm left with an open window all the time (very unsafe).

Also, I can't close the window when the door is opened? is that normal? can you guys close the window if the door is open?

Yea the window thing is a known problem when disconecting the battery. Do a google search on how to reset it. I had the same problem when I put on my CAI. I think what I did was turn the car on, hold the window in the down position for like 15 sec then release and then bring the window up and hold for 15 sec's and it was fixed.....can't remember if that was all I did or not. Again, google search is what I did to find out the steps.

See page 2-41 in the manual:

1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.

2. Close the door.

3. Open the window completely by operating the power window switch.

4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely.

5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by the automatic function to confirm the initialization is complete.

6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other windows.

Try deleting all previously memorized phones first before adding yours.
