Drivers side airbag warning light

Got in my car tonight and the driver side airbag warning light kept blinking. I haven't had anything happen and was wondering what this warning could indicate. Are my aribags

I haven't had anything happen and was wondering what this warning could indicate. Are my aribags deactivated until I get this warning light reset? Thanks for any help out there.
