Drivers side airbag warning light

Got in my car tonight and the driver side airbag warning light kept blinking. I haven't had anything happen and was wondering what this warning could indicate. Are my aribags deactivated until I get this warning light reset? Thanks for any help out there.

Sounds like your seatbelt sensor is off, so it wasn't reading that the belt was secured

Did you have anything sitting in the seat? If there's something in the seat that's ~25 pounds or more it'll set that light off.

Was it driver's side airbag or passenger?

Odang! Guess I should've paid more attention! Sorry OP for the unhelpful input I gave.

If your DRIVER side airbag light is flashing...you need to visit the dealer...

:iagree: It's under warranty and could potentially be a big issue...

If it's driver's side, the most likely cause is the sensor in the female end of the buckle that tells the airbag that the driver is belted. I had a buddy who had this happen in another car, not a Nissan, and he found out that it's actually not that uncommon of a problem in proportion. If it's passenger, my best guess is some weight was on it, giving the sensor the impression a passenger was seated but unbelted
