Remember. This isn't real Carbon Fiber. It's vinyl. I used 3M Adhesion Promoter to make the surface tackier so that the bond was better. I used a plastic putty knife as a squeegee. I also used a heat gun to soften the material and it also helps it form around the edges of the lid. When you take the covering off of the lid, there is a "trough" that made space for the stitched seam. I filled it in with Bondo (also my first time). |
