Who here got suckered into Resist-All?

Yeah yeah... I'm one of them. However, I realized the Resist-All is much more than a one time expensive *** wax job after reading the warranty paper(toilet reading) I think

I think my dealer didn't even apply the wax job out the door and I'm wondering if I can their *** up and tell them to do their job since there are some serious swirling, etc all over my Z.

Never pay for any 'extras' from a dealer - they only mean extra profit for them and extra expense for you.

actually i got touch of class for free with my car. i got the Resist All package as well. so i will try it out. probably just the tire and wheel cleaner since i haven't bought cleaning supplies for the wheels and rims.

but with touch of class, i get to go to the dealer every 6 months and they detail my car.

So it seems the dealership never even freakin applied the resist-all before I drove it out the lot EVEN THOUGH THEY SPECIFICALLY TOLD ME THEY DID. Jesus Christ, wtf is wrong with these idiots.

actually lots of people been telling me that as well. so after the first time, i'd probably never go back for dealer detailing. i got the products so that i can actually do it myself.

they say, they don't really know how to detail the car and stuff. could be true.

^^ it's a known fact over at myg37.......every single person that went into servicing and got a car wash from the dealership ended up with swirls all over....it's as if they use metal brushes and dirty clothes with stones...lol

I've googled several sites regarding auto detailing but I can't seem to find a simple step-by-step instructions on how to wax the car. Is it just a matter of cleaning the car, dry, apply wax, and buffing it out?

after you wash, you need to use the clay bar to get all the hard dirt or other contamination off the car before you wax. you don't have do the whole car with clay bar unless it's extremely dirty. you need a good eye though.

TRuuuuue dat! i work at a toyota dealer and when i go in the back to the wash bay. i cry for these poor customers. They dont follow any basic procedures like top to bottom or rinsing the car befor you apply any soap.

When i get mine im asking for it not to be washed when it comes in.
