Every 6 months or once a year!
wow really? my co-worker was telling me that i should just look for spots that the wash didn't exactly clean completely. and just use the clay bar on those spots and not on the whole car.

No, you'll ruin your paint. Like I said, claybar the whole car, once or twice a year, no more than that.
