There are probably a few threads with the how-tos on this, but I'll fill you in anyway.

You'll want to get the old emblems warm (most use a hair dryer. I'm bald so I was screwed to start with). Use some nylon fishing string and saw back and forth to get the tape to release. Don't be in a hurry, it'll come of sooner or later.

Once you get the old emblems off, I'd clean it up with some Goo Gone. The new emblems come with 3M tape already attached, so it's just a matter of peeling off the backer and sticking them on.

I see but wouldnt this fall off easily? If it was only supported by the 3M tape?

3m tape VERY sticky. I always use Adhesion Promoter that increases the bond.

3M tape is strong, thats whats holding my EVO R CF fangs in place

I could of swore our stock emblems were attached via tabs, not glue, but you learn something new everyday

I like this one

Sounds easy to pull but it's a pain. Put
On is simple the bumper also has little bumps on it so the emblem fits right back in the same exact spot.

I installed the 3rd one and it was a pain. It does not fit too good. I had to add extra 3M double sided tape to make it stick. It does not sit too flush.

Yeah it looks pretty good, and no it doesn't look like it will come off at all. It's stuck on there real good.

So wait, those emblems are only stuck on with a glue?? I thought they may be bolted through... So they are easy to remove and you only need to remove the sticky stuff after thats left on paint underneath the emblem??

A friend of mine once had a 150lb A/C unit 3M tapped to the wall. He also nailed a 2x4 wood underneath the A/C unit. When it was time to move out, he and another friend pulled the A/C unit and the tape took the wall with it (drywall and all).

Don't doubt 3M tape. Its only weakness is high heat. I even have HID Ballists stick with 3m tape as permanent solution (until you use a heat gun).
