I would not worry about it that much unless you are driving through a hurricane amount of water/wind. The only concern you really need to have is over maybe 5

I would not worry about it that much unless you are driving through a hurricane amount of water/wind.
The only concern you really need to have is over maybe 5 years as electronics get old and wires become exposed to keep them wrapped and where your filters are. Though with most hoods/vents the filters are far away so that is of little concern.
