technically yes, but if you have racing and safety in mind I think attaching the harness to a point not on the seat is more the purpose...

Nice. A bit over the top for me in the back, but still nice. It needs some red under the hood - maybe a nismo engine cover and some red hoses...

KamiSpeed 10-17-2011 02:49 PM

haha i did not expect all that from the first stock looking picture

You'll definitely steal the show at a HIN event.

I like the red/black interior. Is it all leather, or 2 different materials?

The shop that worked on the interior purchased them locally... But not sure from where.... They weren't that expensive and they add a nice touch... You could search for them online...

How tall are you? Do they lower you below the stock seat?

By my measurements, with the Bride seat rails installed they drop you about 1-1/4" lower. Seriously though, I'm 5'-10" and if you run more than 185# with a 34" waist, you should buy something else. I'm not kidding, these things are snug. I actually lost weight so my car would fit better!

Well my main issue is I am 6'4" 200lbs (34-35 inch waist), I have sat in one, was just sitting in an office. So it was easy to get in and out of and was snug but not constricting like some of the other Bride seats, but hearing it drops it almost an inch really is pushing me to order one/set start of the new year. :excited:

I know seats like Status, which I really like, can fit the larger American frame better but height of the seat is an issue as it does not seem to lower the seat compared to stock.

JB-370z 10-28-2011 06:05 PM

I just ordered these in red. I dont care how I sit in them, they are sexy. Holding monster ftw :happydance:
Dreamer, you should get new seats. You are very tall dude.

Damn it, I was just wondering if you were going to finally order your seats. I need them but suspension first or maybe both at the same time....:stirthepot:

These are one of my favorites and I think they'd look decent in my car. Looking to get rid of red leather but I'd hate to give up the heated seats as I have a bad back and the heated seats help a bit.

Skeeterbop 10-29-2011 11:47 AM

So going through this thread had me looking at seats. I started playing with the Status Icon seat configurator and was wondering what you guys think of this setup (not that I will purchase them anytime soon): All Alcantera material. Red logo, stitching and inserts, with black as the main color. total cost is 1300 per seat minus shipping and mounting hardware.

I ordered one of these for now.

Nice seats! Are these more comfortable than the stock seats or roughly the same? I love these seats, but my car is a daily driver, so I don't know if these will be suitable for my use. Since these seats are lower, does it affect your view of the road or will adjusting the steering wheel solve the problem? I'm slightly shorter at 5'8

Footloose, he is obviously using ghetto math. Everyone else would say 2 seats :roflpuke2:

harry370z 10-29-2011 10:41 PM

Any aftermarket seats with airbags in them? Same as factory.

I'd love new seats, but don't want to compromise the safety of the car.

All though they dont have air bags, you will have the option to wear a race harness.

Why just one? You got to buy them in pairs lol. I bought both Bride Cugas at the same time with rails etc. The only problem now is they wont come in, until mid to late Jan :icon14:

It has to do with how it holds the body and if you flp the car or end up on your side.

I only have one right now, due to the fact
a) money
b) passenger doesn't need one just yet! lol
c) i will be ordering the low thigh bolster one for the passenger seat. Easier in and out.

yeah...idk. lol

LMAO at the ghetto math comment, there are two in the picture that i just grabbed from the internet, the other will be ordered in the coming months, sorry to mislead.

If anyone wants to fund my passenger seat pm me ill give you my paypal! :inoutroflpuke:

Also most cars don't have an appropriate mounting point for the shoulder straps. If they aren't mounted properly they can be much more dangerous than you would ever get from an OEM belt. Done properly there is nothing wrong with them, but most people don't mount them properly in a street car.

Very true, not sure where the post is but Travisjb had an excellent link & post on mounting points, angles and force applied with harness straps v. OEM setups. If I can find it again I will link to it.
